How we conduct business.

Unless we can agree to a personal meeting, the way in which we will conduct business is designed to be as flexible as your lifestyle needs it to be.

On the left hand side of this page are a number of key planning areas on which you may require advice. If you click onto the link on which you want advice, it will take you to a set of questions which require a response from you. Once you submit the completed questions electronically, we will consider them and contact you by telephone to discuss your requirements in more detail (of course you can always contact us by telephone, in any event).

We want to give you a meaningful plan and so the more information you can give us the better. The telephone meeting may take a little while to complete, but a fuller picture gives a more meaningful and robust plan.

Once we have studied the information you give us, we will submit a brief report on not only the area in which you show an interest, but also other areas which we believe to be important. After you have had time to peruse this document, we will be happy to supply you with a more detailed version, subject to an agreement over our fees. Although we prefer a fee basis, many clients prefer the tried and tested method of commission via the product provider. Where the solution is not accepted, then a fee for preparing the report will apply.

We value the service we offer and are confident you will as well. For this reason, we will rarely rebate any commission to clients, preferring to enhance policy terms where appropriate. Where we agree a fee basis of remuneration, we will submit an electronic invoice for immediate payment via credit/debit card. At this time your fully detailed report will be sent to you.
Value Added Tax may apply to fees payable.

The plan remains the property of Quest until the fees are paid.

What services do you offer?

We provide financial consultancy and planning to private clients with both complex financial affairs and those in need of straightforward advice as well as business owners.

We will work with other professionals to create, secure and manage a comprehensive and evolving financial plan.

We are able to help and assist clients in the following ways:

  • Planning for a secure retirement
  • Planning for capital growth
  • Protecting your income and your dependants
  • Tax planning
  • Buying your home
  • Planning for care in the autumn of life
  • Improving or securing income in retirement
  • Passing assets to children to avoid IHT
  • Pensions and divorce
  • Endowment shortfalls
  • Pensions simplification issues

All services on offer are bespoke to each client and there will be No mechanistic approach to our solutions.

In addition, many clients require something more personal and we can offer three levels of ongoing service.

The Classic Service is aimed at clients who are new to financial planning or who want to sample the service before moving on to a more detailed service. Typical clients may include those who have just left university and are in their first professional role or someone who is looking for a way of receiving advice without feeling pressured to buy. For more information, See Services, at the top of the page.

The Executive Service gives clients a much more in depth service and would suit those clients earning above £60,000 per annum or who have assets above £200,000, excluding their main residence. For more information, See Services, at the top of the page.

The Optima Service is primarily for clients who have assets of over £1m, although we would welcome any client who felt they could benefit from this service. For more information, See Services, at the top of the page.
